⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — A perfect Memorial Day getaway We had an absolutely wonderful stay over Memorial Day weekend with our three kids, and we’re already talking about coming back. The house itself is beautiful — comfortable, well-appointed, and exactly what you’d hope for in a lakeside retreat. The location is fantastic, and the dock was a highlight of the trip for our son, who spent hours out there with his fishing pole. Hard to put a price on that kind of simple, unplugged joy for a kid. The one small hiccup was discovering on our first day that all the propane tanks were empty. I reached out to the host, and honestly, the response was so fast, by the time we returned to the house, two brand new tanks had already been swapped in. We put the propane to good use, pumping out s’mores while we took in the beautiful views of the lake in the evenings. Overall, this is a genuinely great property run by a great host who clearly takes pride in his home and his guests.

This is our second stay at Michael’s property because we find that it aligns perfectly with the design choices that we would make in a mountain cabin. The place feels expertly constructed, any time of the year you’re going to be completely comfortable. The open flow of the downstairs makes it easy to prepare a meal, while teaching our kids to play backgammon. We never even turned on any of the three flatscreens. And the hot tub healed us after the challenging Bluff Lake hike. This place is our Big Bear Go To.

This was honestly one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was spotless, and it was the first Airbnb where the sheets and bedding didn’t trigger my allergies at all — which says a lot about how well it’s maintained. The place was stocked with thoughtful extras like spices, coffee, a starter cleaning kit, and plenty of towels, which made the stay feel really comfortable and convenient. The mountain view was absolutely beautiful and made the whole experience even more relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect weekend getaway in the most beautiful home. We wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend and that was exactly what we got. It was so quiet & peaceful and the home was absolutely amazing. Just a few minutes outside of Big Bear City but far enough away to have that secluded feel. Views were amazing and if it were up to me, I would have stayed forever. Highly recommend choosing this place for your next stay in Big Bear!

I really enjoyed my long weekend stay in Big Bear with my family and pets! The house was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. I spent time walking around the quiet neighborhood, chilling in the hot tub, and playing table tennis. The house is also a short drive to all the fun activities in Big Bear! The hosts were really helpful and responded fast to my messages. Thanks again!

Spent the weekend here with my girlfriends and had the nicest time! The house is clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming. It’s an easy drive to the downtown area as well. Michael was quick to respond to all of my inquiries and was very accommodating. Highlights of the trip were the pristine hot tub and impeccable patio views. I would love to stay here during the winter. Can’t recommend the red cabin enough.

We loved our stay, it was very peaceful and beautiful. We loved the backyard for our dog who doesn’t get to enjoy a big yard. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was also stocked with most things you would need. Overall we had no complaints at all! We will be back soon!

This home was perfect for our last minute trip. The house itself was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, and had plenty of comfortable seating areas for lounging, working, and dining. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dining ware and had basic cooking ingredients for us to use. The backyard was our favorite part of this listing and where we spent most of our time. The pool was clean and super refreshing, surrounded by seating options and big outdoor umbrellas for breaks from the sun. My city dog enjoyed having a nice yard to wander around and I felt comfortable letting him, as it was fully fenced and secure. Thank you Michael for hosting us, we’re already planning our next visit!

My wife and I stayed at Michael's home for a weekend getaway, and it was the perfect place for a private, relaxing, few days "away from the grind". The short review is that we had an excellent time and can't wait to return. Michael's home was exactly as described, was spotless throughout, had all the necessary amenities, and a very private enjoyable backyard with firepit and spa. Michael is an excellent host who was easy to communicate with, had very clear and easy to follow house rules, and was great to deal with. We love traveling to Big Bear and can't wait to return to Michael's home.
